I have just purchased an iPod and someone told me about a download site, Limewire. Can anyone tell me anything about it, good or bad??
it's ok, but it's full of trojans(like a virus). In my experience, if you downloaded about 100 songs, 15 to 25 of them will have trojans.
And whatever you search for it always comes up with "girl has shaking orgasm in back of car",(or similar) so I would be careful if their will be kids using it.
You're probably best off getting bittorrent and then going to places like btjunkie and the pirate bay.(imo it's miles better)
never had a trojan or any tipe of virus off of any of them.

i use limewire and its always worked brilliant for me but its not always the safest of software ...
Limewire is probably the easiest program to get music from. The thing about it is that its illegal but millions of people use it so that doesn't really matter. Its free to download and install. It can be used to get other things too like pictures and movies. But make sure you have a firewall because some of the things you get from Limewire may contain viruses. But if you have any sort of internet securilimewire music download sitety then you are safe.
I prefer Frostwire.
It's similar, and the downloads are generally faster.
Just have to be careful of the file sizes of the things you download.
Anything under the size of 3MB is usually a stupid virus thing.
So yeh, Limewire's good. But you'd be better getting Frostwire.
i use it to, its good very good, but like the other answer says,it has lots off virus's Trojan's and that, but if you have anti virus software you will be fine
It is good. I have used it for years. But be careful.
If you look for a title and it has more than about 3 sources,
be wary. Look for a few sources for your download. Pick
on one that seems the same size as others. Beware of
downloads that are only about 117K. Click on the left-hand
panel where the artists are listed. That sorts the crud out,
and leaves you with the genuine stuff. Failing that, roll your
mouse over your intended download. If it has extra detail, it
is OK.
Be aware that there are people trying to block you. There
are also idiots who think it is funny to put a new name on
a differenlimewire music download sitet track,
If you take these few precautions, you will enjoy the site.

If you're into viruses and child porn, Limewire is a great place to get them.
Ditto for fraud and identity theft.
And if you have no problem with getting sued for illegal downloading and fined a minimum of $750.00 per song, it's great.
Downloading any file that's under copyright (commercial music, movies, software etc) without paying for it is illegal. The penalty is a fine between $750.00 and $150,000.00 per file and up to five years in prison. Is that really worth the risk, considering you're saving less than one dollar for stealing a song instead of buying it? It's cheaper to buy used CDs and rip them, and that's legal.
Wow all I can say is that this service is awesome... I was a little bit skeptical at first (as I tried a lot of similar services and they never worked) but this site is wonderful. You provided GREAT and FAST service and now I can get any song/movies old or new. Thanks for this great service. The Best Service Around.
