I've known this guy for over a year and I feel like I know him pretty well...but what kinds of questions should I ask to make sure I know him well enough?...I just want to make sure there is enough here to base a relationship on...
Find out how he handles conflict. If he yells or avoids conflict it is bad. If he discusses conflict calmly and rationally, that is a good sign.
Find out what he feels about cheating. If he thinks it is normal or inevitable, that is bad. If he thinks of cheating as an aberation,important relationship questions to ask this is a good sign. Also, agree on a definition of cheating. Is on-line romance cheating if you don't meet? Is kissing cheating. Is homosexuality cheating? Is a very close boy/girl friendship cheating if you tell your friend things that you wouldn't tell your partner.
Find out if he considers friendship to be part of romance. He should consider friendship to be integral to romance, since this is often the glue that holds a relationship together on the low points in the inevitable passion/no-passion cyimportant relationship questions to askcles.
Expect the discussion to take a while. Guys will need some time to come up with answers since this is not something they normally think about.
See how he handles certain situations
See if he have any drug addictions & if he is the abusive type(you never know)
See what is personality is like(does he have a good personalty or is he extremely rude)
Is he romatic at all and does he like taking you to romantic places(out to dinner or movie)
