The question related to Popular music and I wasn't abusive so I don't see why it was deleted. If this is deleted rest assured I won't post again.
Recently, a question was posted asking who would you rather see live, Led Zeppelin or Michael Jackson and judging from most responses you would think Michael Jackson was some two-bit one hit wonder.
Obviously I'm not saying you're required to choose Michael Jackson but why do you people act as if he's a music nobody, not fit enough to lick the shoes of your precious Led Zeppelin, Beatles, Queen, Elvis etc.
Accusations of pedophilia doesn’t suddenly make him a rubbish musician. He was found innocent in a court of law.
I realise this section is dominated by rock enthusiasts but give respect were it's due.

I felt compelled to post and repost this.
I can proudly say I am a fan of Michael Jackson, and me being a teenager who was born during this useless generation of teenagers who listen to cr*ppy music and have no taste in real music can say that people have no respect for Michael Jackson. I 100% agree with this person's question and statement.
People have to understand that talent and success and fame has NOTHING to do with how a person LOOKS or ACTS. Thats right, NADA. That would be telling me that the ugliest person in the world has no talent at all (which there is no such thing because God made everyone beautiful and people are considered ugly through stupid human's eyes). I, as a teen can say that I have mucho respect for Michael Jackson. The man has been through a lot. And guess what? In 2003 when he was accused of child molestation, I was only 9 years old. Yes, thats right, I was 9, and you know what? I did my freakin' research on the guy and realized how much the media taunted him. All the hardships he went through. Did you know that Michael Jackson was diagnosed with the disease Lupus in 1984? This is why if you look at some pictures of him during the "Thriller" era, you can see visible red patches on each of the cheeks on his face, a common sympton in Lupus sufferers. And did you know that Michael Jackson did not intentionally turn white? Thats right. He has a skin disorder called "Vitiligo" which causes loss of pigmentation of the skin Did you know Michael Jackson was tortured and verbally and physically abused by his father, Joseph Jackson, who used to refer to young Michael as "Big Nose?" Well, can you guess why he had those rhinosplasties AND on top of that, he had an accident where he broke his nose during rehersal in 1979, which cause him to have his first rhinoplasty when he was at a mere age of 21? AND, did you know that Michael Jackson's accuser Gavin Arvizo was 14 years old? A teenager who can easily lie and cheat people, as we all know thats what most teenagers do today, including myself? His mother, Janet Arvizo stole over $1,000,000 worth of merchandise from a local JCPenney's and Gavin thriller live tour datesArvizo was known to cheat celebrities for their money, and George Lopez (Yes, the famous comedian) testified FOR Michael Jackson stating that Gavin Arvizo tried to steal $40 from his wallet?

thank you for informing those who would bash Michael Jackson just because . . he was one of a kind and to have shared his music and his dancing with all of us (at such great personal cost, might I add) is a wonderful thing. Please, please don't be mean just because the media portrays him that way
I completely agree.... Michael Jackson is one the greatest entertainers ever. Its really sad when some ignorant people say mean things about him. If you dont listen to his music fine but that does give anyone the right to diss him for the heck of it. He is simply.... the KING!!!
Actually, I'm kind of convinced he is one of the greatest pop artists of all time.
You know? that always have made laugh with people, Jackson, Vanilla Ice etc. were artists who sold millions of records , but years later when they have lost their phenomenon status and even have been subject of popular mockery, you cant find neither under the stones anybody who accepts they were fans. its hillarious

well, you answered your own question...because people are ignorant. i happen to be a rock fan and still give credit to jackson for his accomplishments. and you're right, he was found innocent. but people see him as different, so they find it easy to dog on him. it's funny how people will idolize someone who dies of an overdose, yet they bash someone who was accused of something he did not commit. that's the world for you. the best you can do is just ignore the idiots out there who can't recognize talent.
The main problem is he is a weird guy...great musician, but weird guy. That scares people off, and they don't realize how great his music is. He is the king of pop--the Elvis of his genre. However, people are too afraid of the "Michael Jackson the Child 摩我ster" stigma, or are too into their mainstream garbage to realize what great music is.
